A worthy follow up to our award winning 2004 chardonnay.
The fruit was picked ripe to allow our Chardonnay to gain rich melon and fig fruit flavours.
These are evident on the nose and on the palate and are surrounded by harmonious flavours derived from careful oak integration.
Although the wine was barrel fermented, the fruit is the primary flavour on both the nose and the palate combining with subtle oak.
This wine shows quite subtle almond characters on the nose.
By the time this wine has hit the middle palate the flavours have changed to stone fruits particularly apricot.
These flavours are enhanced by subtle nutty oak and the influences of extended yeast lees contact.
This wine is in its infancy and those with a few years patience will be rewarded. | |
