| | | 2007 Badger's Brook Sauvignon Blanc | | | Yarra Valley - $17.00 | | 2007 was an excellent year in the Yarra Valley for Sauvignon Blanc. Concentrating on mainly the tropical fruit flavour enjoyed all over the world.
This wine, sourced from older vines, is of great flavour and intensity, yet young, fresh and zesty, with a finish that remains long and crisp.
Made to enjoy young, capped with a screw cap to ensure the wine retains its freshness.
This is a delicious, fresh, mouth filling Sauvignon Blanc, the nose exhibits strong gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours and whilst these flavours continue on the palate there is also a background hint of green pea.
A crisp, fresh acidity cuts through the aromatic fruit on the finish.
The grapes for this wine were harvested by hand early in April to provide a sound balance of fruit flavours and acidity.
The grapes were placed under refrigeration overnight and then pressed early the following morning.
The grapes were then fermented in Stainless steel and bottled as soon as the wine had finished fermentation and settling. | |
