This wine from estate Cabernet Sauvignon was made by us due to the many requests we have had at cellar door for a Rose.
The Pinot Noir was hand picked picked and retained on the skins.
The wine was machine harvested to allow some skin contact whilst being readied for pressing.
Once pressed the wine displayed a delightful soft pink hue.
The resultant juice was then fermented in stainless steel tanks through to dryness. It was settled and bottled in early July 2004.
This wine has a bouquet of rose petals, the flavours on the palate are quite subtle but are fresh and lively.
This wine gives an impression of fruitness in the palate but this is dispelled in a long and deliciously dry finish.
The Storm Ridge Rose is a delightful accompaniment to al fresco dining on a warm Summer’s evening or as a lunchean wine throughout the year.
